Chots is a real-time chat app. By using it you confirm that you are old enough to use messaging services under the laws of your country, and that you will use the app lawfully and respectfully.
Your account is created with your name and a 5-digit code generated by the app. This code is your password and your chat number. Keep it private. Anyone who knows your code can open your account, and anyone who dials it can message you.
Do not send threats, harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, scams, malware or illegal content. Do not impersonate other people, officials or government bodies. Do not spam or mass-message people who have not asked to hear from you.
Your private conversations are between you and the person you chat with. Chots administrators cannot read your private chats with other users. Administrators can only see basic account details such as your name, code and message counts, and the conversations you have with the Chots admin or helpline. If a user reports you, the full conversation between you and that user, including photos, videos and voice messages, is sent to the Chots admin for review.
We store your name, 5-digit code, profile picture, contacts and messages so the app works. We do not sell your data. When your account is deleted, your messages and contacts are removed.
The Chots Helpline is the official support contact. The team may ask you to submit a COT (a problem report). The text you submit is visible to the Chots team so they can help you.
Accounts with a verified badge are official government channels, approved by the Chots helpline team. Verified channels are visible to all users and may send official announcements. Verified status can be withdrawn at any time.
Accounts that break these rules can be suspended or deleted by the Chots team without notice. Serious violations may be reported to the authorities.
We may update these terms and policy. Continuing to use Chots after an update means you accept the new version.
